Relevant College-Level Knowledge and Skills from Prior Work and Life Experiences Can Translate to Degree Credits
Build on Your Past, For Your Future, and For Future Good
The Coalition for the Common Good (CCG) believes the path to your future can be built on the foundation of your past experiences. Through our Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) process, your prior knowledge, learning, and life experiences can count toward your degree, saving you time and money while honoring the valuable lessons you’ve already acquired.
Whether you’ve gained expertise in the workplace, through military service, or from personal pursuits, we recognize the college-level knowledge and skills you’ve developed. By turning these experiences into credit hours, CCG makes education more accessible and tailored to your unique journey.
How It Works:
- We accept transfer credits from institutions accredited by the U.S. Department of Education’s six regional accrediting agencies.
- Your relevant college-level knowledge and skills, assessed through the PLA program, can count as credit hours toward your degree.
As Hays Moulton, Faculty Chair at Antioch University, explains, “You can bring in your own experience and use your education to directly impact your own personal interest.” This personalized approach allows you to integrate your passions and goals into your education, creating a meaningful and impactful learning experience.
By recognizing the value of your past, CCG helps you build a future that matters—not only for yourself but for the world around you. Start your journey today and see how your experiences can make a difference.
“I think the power of the Coalition is really about minimizing the barriers for people to access higher education by making sure we can meet people where they are – in particular, at work.”
