Our Work

A Mission Based Philosophy

What if colleges and universities...

Collaborated instead of competing against one another?

Worked together to solve society’s biggest challenges?

Expanded their reach to more learners — including working adults — by offering certificates, stackable credentials, bachelor’s and advanced degrees?

Championed education for a more just society by developing an educated workforce and a citizenry who understands their civic responsibilities in a democracy?

This is the Bold New Work of the Coalition for the Common Good.

The Coalition for the Common Good, a system of affiliated, independent, not-for-profit colleges and universities, bound together by a shared mission of educating students not only to advance their careers and achieve personal goals, but also to promote the common good and to better address the aspirations of society.

The Coalition for the Common Good provides the scope, scale, and flexibility to allow small, independent universities to expand their impact, to increase access, and to address workforce needs.

This is a new common ground.

For the good of education.

For the good of industry.

For the good of society.
